The Mexican Pizza was a fan favorite for years. But during the Pandemic in 2020, Taco Bell discontinued it, leaving a void in the hearts (and stomachs) of many.
In an interview, the cultural icon, a self-proclaimed Taco Bell enthusiast, declared her love for the Mexican Pizza and her desire to see it return.
This simple statement, coming from a cultural icon, sparked a firestorm. And fans rallied behind the singer, using the hashtag #BringBackMexicanPizza.
Taco Bell did what any brand would do: they listened to the Country Queen and her following. In 2022, Taco Bell announced the return of the Mexican Pizza, as a permanent menu item…again.
The queen? With Dolly Parton’s endorsement, along with the creative marketing campaign, the Mexican Pizza’s comeback was born.
