Condiment Kings: New survey says these fast food restaurants’ dips rule

A recent survey helped identify the hottest flavors today’s fast foodies can’t get enough of.

Dozens of fast food favorites wouldn’t be where they are today without their signature dips, sauces or dressings. Some chains owe their claim to fame on the right condiments catching fire at just the right time. A recent survey helped identify the hottest flavors today’s fast foodies can’t get enough of.

The Winner: Chick-Fil-A

Known for its signature smoky, tangy honey mustard taste, Chick-Fil-A sauce was clearly the survey favorite. It’s so popular, the chain has started to package and sell it separately on grocery store shelves. The chain, which specializes in chicken sandwiches, has a slate of specialty sauces that left respondents raving. Nearly half chose Chick-Fil-A as their condiment king of choice, with sriracha, Polynesian, zesty buffalo, garden herb ranch and other flavors captured 43.41% of the votes.

Runners Up

From its specialty sweet and sour blend to the secret sauce used on its flagship sandwich, the Big Mac, McDonald’s took second place with 28.38% of votes declaring it the best of the bunch. Wendy’s cinched third with 9.52% of the vote, likely due to specialty sauces like Ghost Pepper Ranch. Taco Bell fans made up 6.84% of respondents with Burger King trailing at 6.34%. Surprisingly, Arby’s only grabbed 5.51% of votes despite the enduring popularity of the chain’s horseradish mayonnaise.
