FatBurger is turning 70 and for the occasion – email subscribers will be getting coupon deals and free food.

Beginning October 4th members of the ‘Fat Club’ will be sent coupon codes for redemption.

The catch is that for the ‘giveaway’ you must place an online order and be one of the first 70 customers in order to redeem the codes.

As per Fatburgers website:

Exclusive giveaways and free food drops will be announced via email every Tuesday at 12pm PT through 12/27/22.

So patrons will have a shot at free food every Tuesday which is when the codes will drop in your inbox.

But you must be quick on your feet (or fingers). And check your email for Fatburger notifications.

The chain will also be using special packaging to celebrate the anniversary and a press release notes that customers can expect more ‘fat’ surprises in store, until the end of the year.

There’s also a free delivery promo running every Friday through the end of 2022 for orders placed on-line.

Taylor Fischer, Director of Marketing for FAT Brands’ Fast Casual Division says, “There is so much history with Fatburger, including our beloved founder, Lovie Yancey, and the music born in our restaurants, that we wanted to spin up a three-month long party. From free food to exclusive giveaways, we have a lot of surprises up our sleeve…“.

The seventy year span that Fatburger has been in existence has seen quite the evolution from it’s humble beginnings.

Fatburger was started as small stand originally in 1947 with just three stools to accommodate customers.

Lovie Yancey used left-over construction materials from her husbands business to transform the stand into the very first iteration of her new burger joint, Mr. Fatburger.

Once she separated from her husband, the ‘Mr.’ was tossed.

The stand eventually evolved into a franchise and then, an enterprise – which is the Fatburger that we know today.

And 70 years later, we are still enjoying the results of the grit and determination that Lovie had in spades to keep her burgers alive and well (done).
