In a move that is surely going to make Krispy Kreme fans more than a little excited – Mcdonald’s just announced a partnership with the donut chain, Krispy Kreme.
The news may be the best news of…any news to come down the pipeline in a while. But there is a catch.
This is a test run and only being offered at 9 locations.
The press release from both, Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s unveiled the collaboration that would see Krispy’s donuts sold at select Ronald locations for the trial run.
“McDonald’s is always looking for ways to give our fans more of what they crave, and we often conduct tests to inform future menu decisions,” the chains said in their joint statement.
The ‘test’ offering is set to debut on October 26th nd only in Louisville, Kentucky.
McDonald’s will be offering a roster of three different kinds of Krispy donuts: the original glazed doughnut, the chocolate iced doughnut with sprinkles, and the raspberry-filled doughnut.
The chosen Kentuckians will be able to purchase the donuts individually or in six packs.
The release noted that, “This small-scale test will help us understand how offering new bakery items like Krispy Kreme could impact operations in our restaurants.”
Should this take off, this may be the best pairing since spaghetti and meatballs.
