To usher in the dawn of a new Arby’s sandwich (back for a limited time), The Country Style Rib Sandwich – Pusha T takes beef with the McRib and dons a cowboy hat and chaps for the new promotional diss video “Rib Roast”.
This is the second time that Pusha T has been featured in an Arby’s diss track.
The first track went after McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish while promoting Arby’s new fish sandwich. This one does more of the same but with a country take and a little bit of a more scary angle (with the clown).
A twangy country riff plays as country themed images and Pusha T rollick around.
At one point a tantalizing rib sandwich twirls around intermittently filling up the screen.
There are gems such as “McRib you look just like a clown” – raps Pusha T in the video, who most of the time is, dressed in full-on country garb and riding a mechanical bull.
Then there’s the demonic imagery of an overly sad-eyed Ronald McDonald that glares in quick flashes between scenes.
The video shows a clear distinction between the two rib-focused sandwiches showcasing the crummy-ness of the McRib against the much beefier Arby’s sandwich.

The direction that Arby’s is taking to promote their new sandwiches is amusing as it relies heavily on smearing McDonald’s fare.
A user on Youtube commented, “McDonald’s gotta come back with some heat to top this. If my knowledge of battle raps has taught me anything then we should expect nothing less than the fast food version of Tupacs “Hit em up“
“We’re on a mission to call out weak sandwiches of questionable quality, and there is no other product that can compare to our REAL Country-Style Rib Sandwich or is worthy of Pusha T’s praise,” said Jim Taylor, President of Arby’s.
There’s even a country-style merch line regaling the nation at large called, “Real Country Style Collection” which sells trucker hats, shirts, and bolo ties.
It might be perfect enough to influence someone out there to break out their cowboy hat and head to Arby’s.
The question that remains is…will McDonald’s pop back with their own diss track?
