Sounds like a deal, right?
Per the viral videos advice, viewers were excited to try out the deal for themselves...and went to the McDonald's app to order it.
But things didn't go quite as planned...
The $12 Dinner Box was more like the...$28 (or more) Dinner Box.
And comments rained down on the video with wildly varying prices points.
And only existed for that price at the original posters location.
Apparently the $12 deal was location dependent.
The attention from the viral video forced McDonald's to respond to the controversy: "These promotions may vary by restaurant. Generally, shareable, bundled deals vary by location and fans can access them through the app.”
So, that $12 dinner box? It might be a Texas-sized bargain, but it likely won’t be available near you.
