Whataburger’s love affair with ketchup goes beyond their classic Fancy Ketchup. In 2012, they debuted a Spicy Ketchup as a limited-time offer, quickly winning over fans with its fiery kick. The good news? It’s no longer a secret, the chain is extending it’s run, and it’s now being offered online, and in H-E-B stores.
The chain has revealed the secrets behind to the Spicy Ketchup Limited Batch #2, arbol and piquin peppers, a blend of spices, and the kicker…Cholula Sauce.
Rich Scheffler, Whataburger Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer said in 2022, when it was introduced: “As much as our customers love Whataburger Spicy Ketchup, we thought we’d treat them to a new limited-batch ketchup with a spicier, more complex taste. “Whataburger Spicy Ketchup Limited Batch #2 delivers on our commitment to serve big flavor and original recipes with limited-time offers that keep it fresh!”
