Fast food restaurants, known for their quick service and convenience, can sometimes double as hotspots for the most bizarre altercations. From verbal spats escalating into physical brawls to downright strange reasons triggering a fight, these arenas have seen it all.
Here are eight of the most outrageous disputes that have taken place in recent times at a fast food restaurant.
1. The Last Straw
A Customer lost his shirt because there were no plastic straws available in the condiment area.
A recent ban on plastic straws in the city meant that every business, and establishment was no longer allowed to give customers plastic straws. That didn’t stop this guy from taking it up with employees and getting into a heated exchange that turned brutally physical. The employee fought the man back, delivering punch after punch to his head.
This surreal spectacle ended with law enforcement’s intervention, turning the breakfast hotspot into a morning mess.
2. Pizza Hut Pugilists
In a strange turn of events, two customers in a New York Pizza Hut came to blows over a misplaced takeaway order.
They both claimed ownership of the same pepperoni pizza. Rather than waiting for a new pizza to be made, the disagreement turned physical, resulting in a duel that involved pizza slices being used as unconventional weapons.
3. Taco Bell Tussle
A fight that broke out in a Taco Bell in California over hot sauce packets takes the third spot. The fight erupted when a customer claimed the restaurant hadn’t given him enough sauce packets.
What began as a minor disagreement escalated into a full-blown fight involving several customers and staff, with taco shells and burritos flying across the room.
4. Wendy’s Splenda Stand-Off
A Wendy’s in Georgia was the site of a brawl caused by a dispute over Splenda packets. When a customer was told they would need to come inside for their Splenda packets, a verbal argument turned into a physical altercation.
This wild encounter quickly garnered attention online in a viral video due to its sheer absurdity.
5. The Subway Sandwich Giveaway Gone South
In London, a free sandwich giveaway turned into a full-blown riot which escalated into a Subway standoff with employees armed with fire extinguishers. Dozens of rowdy teens had congregated, and were storming the storefront.
A snapchat video caught pieces of the incident that showed a wild scene. The front window to the establishment was smashed by a teen with an orange cone.
6. Burger King Brawl
In a Burger King in Miami Dade, Florida, a fight broke out over a seemingly simple issue: a free small fry. When a customer was denied his free small fries, a verbal altercation with the staff escalated into a full-on physical brawl, leaving the restaurant in disarray.
The customer jumped the counter and the fists started flying. Police labelled the incident a robbery because one customer demanded money in the middle of the madness.
7. KFC Kick-Off
A KFC mixup in 2022 resulted in a dispute that escalated into a wild one-sided brawl. A customer placed an order at the drive-thru declining a drink. Once she got to the window, however, she did want a drink. A confusing situation, that saw the customer enter the restaurant by crawling through the window.
She proceeded to bash computers, and other objects onto the floor, leaving nothing to escape her wrath.
8. Dunkin’ Donuts Dust-up
A Dunkin’ Donuts was the scene of an unusual skirmish involving a disagreement over a sandwich.
A group of teenagers argued at the window with employees over a breakfast sandwich. The girl driving ended up punching the worker through the window. But that’s not all, another occupant of the car had a BB gun on, hand and used it to shoot at the window.
No one was injured as the window was closed but the BB bullets looked exactly like bullet holes in the glass.
Round 3: Fight
Fast food fights, while often bizarre and extreme, serve as a reflection of human behavior in the face of perceived injustice, no matter how trivial.
