Arby’s is the next chain in line to climb aboard the spice train boon and come out with a line of heat-based roast beef sandwiches and loaded fries.
Arby’s had the Diablo Dare Challenge already last year which offered both chicken and brisket versions of the Diablo Dare sandwich.
Last year customers were challenged to film themselves eating the spicy Arby’s food without taking a sip of an accompanying free milkshake and uploading it to TikTok so viewers could see if you caved and cooled down with the shake.
Now Arby’s is doing it again this year with the addition of the roast beef sandwich and a loaded fry popping onto the spicy Diablo menu.
Each sandwich and fry serving contains multiple ingredients that contribute to turning up the heat ante.
According to the ingredient details for Diablo Dare…there are four levels of kick blended into each sandwich: hot seasoning, fire-roasted jalapenos, Diablo BBQ sauce, and a toasted red chipotle bun.
Your specific tolerance to spicy foods will of course play a huge part in how satisfied you are with the Diablo Dare’s offerings.
And if you’re someone new to the heat game with nary a trip down spice master lane…there’s no telling how hot (or not) you might find the fries and sandwiches.
Reviews and challenge videos alike did not admit to smoke coming out of ears but there was a varied opinion over the level of heat that the Diablo food packs with just as many people saying it had no spice whatsoever as there were challenge-takers that admitted to some spice and a subset that said it was very spicy.
If you’re seeking out something like the Diablo Dare, chances are high that you live and spit fire so it may not exactly turn your throat into a furnace brewing scorching levels of heat. And even if it did…would you admit it?
In case you can, all orders will come with a free “Extingui-Shake” as a safety precaution in case you need to put the fire out in your mouth.
The Diablo Dare menu is set to run for a limited time starting on October 24th.
