Burger King is bringing back a beloved menu item from the 90s that has been MIA for almost ten years – Cini Minis! The abrupt return of the sweet treat is a welcome surprise for fans of the Minis who had been shocked when they were discontinued around 2016.
There is one small issue though, they will only be available in select markets in Florida.
The hope here is that Burger King is testing the waters in the south to see how customers respond to the second coming of the Cini Minis. If they sell well in the Sunshine state, we may just see a nationwide launch anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
Food influencer, Markie Devo made the surprise announcement on his Instagram: “Dear BK, we got beef, and by beef, I don’t mean a Whopper. Burger King brought back their Cini Minis!! One HUGE issue!! It’s only in select Florida markets.📍Spotted in Miami-Dade Country. I’m also told they’re in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area for a limited time.”
Cini Minis first appeared on Burger King menus in 1998, offering bite-sized cinnamon rolls that were perfect for a quick breakfast or a mid-day snack. The sweet treat quickly gained a loyal following, but was eventually taken off the menu in 2016.
Burger King has been making waves this week with the launch of Pickle Fries alongside three new contending Whoppers vying for the grand prize in the Million Dollar Whopper contest. Customers can try each Whopper and vote for their favorite. There’s also a $1 standard Whopper deal being offered through the app right now.
A Limited-Time Treat
The return of the sorely missed Cini Minis is sure to excite nostalgic fans, but it’s important to note that this is a limited-time offer. Burger King has not yet announced how long Ciniminis will be available or if they plan to expand the offering to other markets.
So, if you’re a Florida resident craving a taste of the past, head to your local Burger King and indulge in some nostalgic goodness while you still can!
