Alex Da Ponte and her son stopped at McDonald’s for a bite to eat and ended up with the wrong but hopelessly cute order.
When Alex Da Ponte pulled into the McDonald’s drive-thru with her son, they only had Big Mac’s and fries on their mind but something furry caught the mother’s eye.
A little orange fur-ball was approaching each car in the line and anyone who came out of the fast food restaurant, trying to get their attention.
The cat was wearing a collar and so Da Ponte wasn’t sure if she belonged to someone or not.
She kept on eye on the cat and it quickly became apparent that the cat was abandoned.
Da Ponte told The Dodo: “I pulled out of the drive-through line and into a parking spot. From the parking spot, I watched two other families try to dodge the cat as they came back to their cars … That’s when I decided to get her. No one else was helping her, and she clearly needed help. She was desperate to get into a car.”
She decided to step in and called to the cat who wasted no time scampering right over to Da Ponte and her son. The cat – who was immediately named, Seats by her son…jumped into their car and rejoiced by cuddling and exploring.
She set up shop in the back seat and lounged while they continued through the drive-thru line.
Personable Seats, was enjoying her new predicament even partaking in the McDonald’s once they finally got their food. She was especially sold by the fries.

The family ended up giving Seats to neighbors to foster until they could find a permanent home but they failed in that regard. They fell for the orange tabby and decided to keep her.
Some people get their cats from breeders or animal shelters – Seats made her way into a family’s heart by carousing around McDonald’s, demanding that someone pay attention to her.
And her plot definitely worked.
