Dairy Queen posted a semi-cryptic picture and tongue-in-cheek message to social media that had “Swifty” fans guessing at what DQ could be getting at.
On both Twitter, and Instagram, Dairy Queen captioned the Insta-post with “Treat Now” with a purple heart along with an image of a purple clothed hand holding a Cotton Candy Blizzard that one can only assume is evidence of a Swift collaboration in the works.
Swifty’s pointed out that Taylor’s favorite color is purple.
The Twitter post was a little different, and casted shade on John’s.
The reference to “John” …”If your name is John…blocked and reported” – alludes to that time Taylor Swift dated John Mayer, and allegedly wrote a break-up song after their time together named “Dear John”.
The “Treat Now” message is quite obviously referring to Taylor Swift’s new album Speak Now. So is the ice cream chain teasing a Swift Blizzard collab? All signs so far point to, yes.
Fan’s ate up the post’s, giving their stamps of approval for both a Swift-inspired Blizzard, and having the cajone’s to roast Mayer publicly:
“Dairy Queen you don’t understand how much I love you because of this.”
“John Mayer works hard but the Dairy Queen Social Media Team works harder.”
“YALL NEED TO MAKE A LIMITED TIME SPEAK NOW BLIZZARD!!!!”
“This is iconic”.
“DQ she said we can’t do this. But really, you didn’t use his full name so I think it’s ok”.
Will a Taylor Swift Blizzard be coming to DQ’s menu’s near you? Only time will tell.
