Domino’s is giving customers a taste of the Big Apple and debuting their very own New York Style pizza. The pizza is slated to have big, foldable slices reminiscent of famous NYC-based pizzerias, and comes in several sizes for maximum enjoyment.
Dominos announced the debut via a press release, and from what we can gather, it’s available starting now… but for an undetermined amount of time.
New York Style Foldable Slices
The New York Style pizza features a hand-stretched, thin crust made with fresh, never-frozen dough which lends to the crispy-on-the-edges, foldable experience that makes New York-style pizza infamous. It’s then topped with a melty blend of 100% real mozzarella and provolone cheese.
Russell Weiner, Domino’s CEO said: “Domino’s prides itself on offering a variety of pizza crusts for all different tastes. Our pizza chefs created this new pizza crust to allow the deliciousness of our ingredients to shine through. It has the perfect balance of crust, sauce, cheese and toppings in every bite, making it the star of the show. New York Style Pizza may become our customers’ new favorite crust!
Just like a classic New York slice, Domino’s version comes cut into six large, foldable slices, and customers can choose from three sizes: medium, large, and even extra large, for feeding a crowd.
A Tribute To NY Style Pizza
Dominos appears to be following in Pizza Hut’s shadow with this one. The Hut launched the iconic Big New Yorker in the late 90’s, and since it’s discontinuation, developed a legion of customers nostalgic for its return. In 2023, they listened to their customers and brought it back for a limited-time. And oh, they brought it back in a big way.
The chain made a massive 68,000 slice pizza which ended up officially breaking the Guinness World record for the biggest pizza the world has ever known. How’s that as a way to re-introduce one of the chains most coveted pizzas?
Dominos won’t be going all out for their new promotion, but they will be celebrating the launch with some money-saving deals to entice customers to try the new pie.
Customers can grab a large three-topping New York Style pizza for just $10.99. And the mix-and-match deal allows you to score medium two-topping New York Style pizzas for $6.99 each when you order two or more menu items. Domino’s Rewards members can also redeem points for a free medium New York Style pizza.
