A strange happenstance occurred at a Taco Bell located in Mcminnville, Oregon that resulted in a woman spilling out of the Taco Bell ceiling in front of the manager on shift. (Courtesy of Southern Standard)
Terra Gardenhire, the manager at the Taco Bell in question – was eating a meal while on break when the last thing she expected to happen…happened.
Whilst mid-chew, a clatter and a crash startled her…seemingly from the heavens above.
Gardenhire watched in disbelief as a human shape fell from and comingled with falling ceiling tiles.
Before Terra Gardenhire registered what had occurred, the ceiling intruder was up and dashing out of the establishment without a word.
Gardenhire called the police to report the incident.
Officer Brad Hall confirmed, “She stated that the person was wearing all white and ran out of the business toward Burch Supply.”
The woman who fell from the ceiling was eventually identified as 39-year-old Robin Lynne Emigh, after officers where able to locate her at a nearby gas station.
Responding officers noted that Emigh appeared to be under the influence due to her slurred speech and her “erratic” behavior.
Hall reported, “Emigh did conceal herself in the ceiling of Taco Bell without the owner’s effective consent.”
After a search of the fast food restaurant, officers concluded that the woman had entered the ceiling by way of the men’s bathroom due to the location of apparent damaged ceiling tiles.
When Emigh was questioned as to why she had been in the ceiling of Taco Bell – she merely said that she “didn’t know she was in the ceiling”.
Emigh was taken to Warren County jail and charged with public intoxication and burglary.
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that someone has fallen out of the ceiling of a Taco Bell.
In 2018 – at a different Taco Bell…in California, customers noticed the ceiling panels shifting and foot “indentations” appearing.
The patrons determined that there was a human inside of the ceiling and visibly in a precarious situation. They were scared that whoever was up there…would land on someone below.
She ended up dropping 25 feet to the ground after the panels gave way.
This woman had also used the same “bathroom method” to get into the ceiling.
Next time you’re in Taco Bell craving that Mexican Pizza, you may want to keep your head on a swivel….or you could become crash-landed upon.
