In an unlikely triumvirate of forces – Pepsico, Ruffles, and KFC will come together to create the limited edition “Original Recipe Chicken” flavored, ridged chips.
The famously secretive recipe of herbs and spices used by KFC will be added to the roster of Ruffles chips in a collaboration that has excited, Katherine Bond-Debicki, CMO, KFC Canada – into saying that:
”They couldn’t turn down the opportunity to make the ultimate ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’ chip with such a powerhouse brand.”
It’s a trifle surprising that KFC is sharing it’s top secret recipe with another corporation but the CFO, Katherine Bond-Debicki is adamant that the partnership can only bring positive results (Via Econotimes.com):
“KFC’s secret recipe is one of the best kept secrets out there, but we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to make the ultimate ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’ chip with such a powerhouse brand.”
In a Reddit discussion wherein someone posted about looking for a store that carried the chips – one person was not impressed with the collaboration:
