McDonald’s surprised their followers on Facebook when they posted a picture of a new side dish that’s set to be added to the menu.
The post received negative reactions to the news of….the buttered corn, and fans let them know about it with responses about what they really wanted in place of the corn dish.
Buttered Corn?
With excitement in the air, burger chain captioned a picture of a small, glass bowl of corn, stating:
“Officially entering our Buttered Corn era. Butter add this as your side for a full meal“.
It was a slaughterhouse response for McDonalds with the comments blasting the chain, asking for the return of discontinued favorites like the Snack Wrap, Salad Shakers, and Chicken Selects instead – the majority brought up Burger King’s decision to borrow the Snack Wrap idea, adding their own version of the Wrap to the menu recently.
“Nobody asked for this.. YALL were TOLD – MULTIPLE TIMES to bring Snack Wraps back and ya didn’t listen and now Burger King stole ya crown. RIP McDonald’s.”
“We could have Shaker Salads again and they give us corn?”
“Doing everything but crispy Snack Wraps.”
“I wanted the Steak Egg & Cheese Bagel but sureee corn will do.”
Needless to say, the fans are upset, they want their favorites back but their getting…corn. Hopefully McDonald’s takes some notes, and claps back with some answers.
