It looked like a scene out of an apocalyptic movie where a mutinous public loses it in the face of an impending disaster and embarks on their last hurrah. Or maybe it was just because the ice cream machine was down again. A shocking video has been making the rounds of a McDonald’s in Los Angeles being eviscerated by a mob of teens.
Fast food locations have been increasingly becoming arenas for discontent and violence or maybe it’s always been that way?
It was an absolute scene of violence as kicking, bashing, breaking, looting, and throwing took place by a horde of teen and pre-teenagers that let loose on the unsuspecting McDonald’s. Nobody knows what started the riot but it occurred on Juneteenth as just down the street a peaceful celebration was in full swing for the occasion.
During the video, employee’s can be seen brandishing and hiding behind chairs as they strategically made their way to either the back room or a bathroom to lock themselves away from the melee they were confronted with.
One 19-year-old is seen ripping the cash register from where it’s mounted and running away with it, a piece of the counter still attached. He brought it outside and smashed it open to get to the contents as other teens descended upon him to get a piece of the action.
From a helicopter’s birds-eye view, people are seen even on top of the roof of the doomed McDonald’s and countless others spread out in the streets surrounding the location.
Twitter users had a lot to say on the situation, even bringing politics into it…which of course led to posters having words with one another over the charged-up situation that unfolded Monday.
“keep voting for democrats and that’s what you get.”
“People working in fast food shouldn’t ever have to have this happen to them. Those jobs are stressful enough. If I was working there, I would have quit after this.”
This is absolutely disgusting behavior. Celebrating the liberation of possible ancestors is not amnesty against enslaving others to your erratic, dangerous, and vulgar behavior.
“It’s getting tiresome seeing these videos daily at this point.”
There were reports of gunshots in the area which Newsweek reports that the authorities are investigating.
Needless to say, it wasn’t the apocalypse but it looked like a damn good dress rehearsal for the real thing…
