Things got heated in the drive-thru when @Kaileighhm asked for sauce at McDonald’s. What was different about this sauce acquirement that caused it to end in a bad scene…is not known.

The viral TikTok video that The Daily Dot found, shows an employee apparently grow increasingly angered by the request and then fitfully throw a cup of water into the car and face of the McDonald’s patron.

The video starts right in the middle of the tumultuous sauce altercation so we don’t get to see the full set-up. And from the looks of it…the employee was all riled up about something.

Whether she is a true gatekeeper of sauce or something else had ticked her off, it is not immediately apparent from the video.

@Kaileighhm asked for sauce, reiterating several times “you’re not going to give me sauce?”

The employee did have a somewhat deranged look on her face and didn’t appear to entertain the prospect of giving the customer any sauce, though she was asked multiple times.

In reply, the worker grabbed what looked like a large McDonald’s cup filled to the brim with ice and water and spewed it through the window and car, being sure to close the drive-thru window with a quickness.

In a pretty restrained response, @Kaleighhm gave the thumbs up to the worker and asked “Who’s calling the cops now?”

DahBaby remarked about the sauce: i swear the workers act like it comes out of their pockets

Now, no one likes to suck down a dry burger or dry fries absent of any sauces, which is why it’s always imperative to get sauces with your meal. To be denied the sauce could be pretty confusing.

In fact a whole meal can be thrown off if it lacks the required sauce companions.

But how asking for sauce went into such a tail-spin of threats and accosting is anyone’s guess.

Viewers commented that there had to be “more to the story”.

ginafresquez4: it doesn’t matter the employee of a restaurant through something at a customer that’s cause for being fired no matter what the other person did

Josh Navarro: It’s always either the customer or the worker and this time it’s the worker..

Workers shared insight on how managers tell employee’s to limit the amount of sauces that they give out.

chloe: I worked at McDonald’s, I used to just give sauce whenever they ask but manager caught it and I gotten written up and had a big ol lecture about it

No matter what might have transpired before the video started being recorded – it was the employee that took things to a physical level.

Currently there is no update on what happened after the sauce encounter had been ratcheted up, and if the customer ended up calling the cops or not but many viewers were left wondering the eventual end to the sauce tale.
