Nyiashia Jackson had quite the ugly surprise printed on her Chick-fil-a receipt in place of her name. She discovered the shocking racial slur after going through the drive-thru and being warned by an employee about what their fellow employee had done.

Nyiashia had stopped at Chick-Fil-a for nothing more than a bite to eat and unprompted through no fault of her own, got way more than she bargained for when receiving her food (Courtesy of: WRAL News).

I was really, really upset and sad,” said mother April over the incident.

April’s daughter said that when she was handed her food, she got a word of warning.

He was like, you might want to look what they put your name as,” Nyiashia said. “I was just in shock. I literally parked right there, I was just couldn’t eat the food, I was just in shock.”

CNN contacted the Chick-fil-a in question, and received a statement explaining that they had investigated the situation and made the decision to not fire the employee. They further added that they would give additional training to the employee.

The operator has started additional training at his restaurant to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We sincerely apologize for the harm caused by this incident.”

The ludicrous response from the franchise didn’t jive with April Jackson, and understandably so – the statement read like they were sweeping the reprehensible actions of their employee/s under the rug.

You shouldn’t have to train to not call someone a N*****.”And April added that she would like the employee fired.

The Chick-Fil-a has tried to reach out to Nyiashia’s mother multiple times but she wants nothing to do with opening any further dialogue. She is going to pursue legal action instead.
