Red Lobster is making waves in the seafood dining scene with a revamped menu. The chain has announced the return of a classic, Hush Puppies, while bidding farewell to the iconic Endless Shrimp promotion.

Red lobster’s new CEO, 35-year-old, Damola Adamolekun wants to make Red Lobster “better than it was before.”

He says his idea is to rejuvenate the brand and maie it: “Relevant, compelling and exciting is what we want Red Lobster to be for the future, and so we’re working on that now.”

The Hush Puppies, once a staple, had been taken off the menu but now the chain is listening to fans of the dish who have been vocal about bringing them back.

The new CEO continued: “There was a social media riot over us taking off the hush puppies a few years ago. So that is coming back. I expect a stampede into our restaurants because we’re bringing back the hush puppies.”

These crispy, golden-brown cornmeal fritters have been a fan favorite for years, and their absence was felt by many. Red Lobster has listened to customer feedback and brought back it back.

In addition to the Hush Puppies return, Red Lobster is also bringing back Popcorn Shrimp and a bevy of brand new items to the menu.

  • Classic Favorites: Red Lobster’s signature dishes like Cheddar Bay Biscuits and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp remain on the menu, ensuring a familiar and comforting dining experience.
  • Customizable Feasts: The “Create Your Own Ultimate Feast” option allows guests to personalize their dining experience by choosing two premium items and two classic dishes, providing endless possibilities for seafood lovers.

On the tartar sauce: “It’s being fixed. I hear you, TikTok. … It’s going to be a better version, in my estimation, because we did try the old one and this new one, this new one’s better.”

Farewell to Endless Shrimp

While the return of Hush Puppies is cause for celebration, Red Lobster has made the difficult decision to discontinue the popular Endless Shrimp promotion which the new CEO said was a no-brainer.

With this menu revamp, Red Lobster is hoping to start a new chapter, prioritizing quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. By offering a diverse selection of seafood dishes and bringing back classics, the chain is poised to continue its legacy as a leading seafood restaurant.
