Starting January 22nd, Wendy’s is launching their version of a popular fast food favorite…the Breakfast Burrito.
Wendy’s introduced a breakfast burrito option in 2020 for a time but this one is a new, updated version.
Markie Devo reported about the news on Instagram:
“Wendy’s has a new Breakfast Burrito heading to locations nationwide later this month. The burrito features fresh cracked eggs, American cheese, applewood smoked bacon, seasoned potatoes, breakfast cheese sauce, all served with two packs of Cholula Hot Sauce.”
The burger chain has been dipping more and more into the morning game over the past two years with an ever-expanding breakfast menu touting a variety of options. The latest attempt to hit their repertoire is a different take on the ubiquitous fast food burrito.
Last August, Wendy’s released the Breakfast Burrito…but only in Canada, possibly to test the waters before taking it to the states? It looks like there may be some minor differences between the Canadian Burrito, and the latest one coming to the US. The Canadian version gives a choice of bacon or sausage. Either that or it hasn’t been reported on yet…
Other breakfast items on Wendy’s menu include; a Maple Bacon or Sausage Croissant Sandwich, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, Sausage or Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit, Sausage and Gravy Biscuit, Sausage or Bacon Egg and Cheese Muffin Sandwich, the Breakfast Baconator, Homestyle French Toast Sticks, and Seasoned Potatoes.
In similar news, yesterday, McDonald’s UK arm revealed that the coveted Breakfast Wrap is returning on February 7th. The wrap is a favorite among the United Kingdom patrons, even prompting 22 petitions to bring it back when it was discontinued.
Wendy’s has also brought back the Vanilla Frosty after a seven month absence. It had been replaced by at least three different Frosty flavors since it’s been gone. The Peppermint Frosty being the most recent…
