McDonald’s UK adds a breakfast item back to the menu after a four year absence. The Breakfast Wrap is being reintroduced for a limited time, starting February 7th.

The Breakfast Wrap is not to be confused with the Breakfast Burrito which is a small handheld breakfast option available year round. The Wrap is a more hearty breakfast option composed with more substantial ingredients.

It features McDonald’s staple hash brown patty, American cheese, a slice of bacon, and a free-range egg tucked inside of a white flour tortilla. It’s available at the price point of 4.39 GBP.

McDonald’s breakfast menu, specifically the McMuffin is are the Troupe de jour of fast food breakfast but every so often the chain adds the bagel sandwich line, including the Steak, Egg and Cheese Bagel which has had customers rallying for a return through social media, and petitions. It’s only available in a few markets at the moment despite popular demand.

That’s not all, the chain announced the return of the Double Big Mac last week. The four beef patty-strong burger is a towering version of the standard Big Mac, and not to be trifled with…it has extra sauce, and “more” of the common Mac accoutrements. That’s also due to the 50+ changes to their burgers which McDonald’s has been hyping (or preparing) customers for over the past few months.

The scattered sesame seeded bun replaces a traditional bun for a more “rustic” look while adding more Mac Sauce, rehydration onions, storing ingredients in a different manner than accustomed, and cooking six burgers on the grill instead of the usual, eight.

They also teased a bigger and cheaper burger on the horizon during a conference noting that The Powers That Be are listening to customers demand for bigger burgers that don’t break the bank. They didn’t offer up much information beyond adding that they would soon be testing several new bigger burger options in a limited market sometime in the near future.
