You may or may not remember when McDonald’s had breakfast bagel sandwiches in the mix. And you also might remember when they disappeared into the bin of menu items past.
If you did and you felt jilted when you found out about the discontinuing of the Bagel Sandwiches…now is the time to clap your hands in delight – The Breakfast Bagel Sandwiches are coming back and the word is out, making the rounds on Social Media sites, like Twitter (Courtesy of: MSN).
Last year the Breakfast Bagels were quietly rolled out to select McDonald’s locations for a round of introduction to test markets.
A few lucky cities got to be the first of the bunch to try the new/old “offering” to make sure it passed muster.
The announcement stated that the Bagel Sandwiches aren’t going nationwide, however, it looks like they will be available in major cities like, New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., Columbus, and in the New England area.
The level of excitement for the return of the Bagel Sandwich is being heard by old and new fans alike.
Some people are concerned because they can’t find it in their area and are begging McDonald’s to make it available nationwide. Maybe when the franchise sees that the Bagel is adored, they will make that move.
This could also be apart of further testing to gauge interest, and its definitely working because fans are speaking out.
I miss the steak bagel breakfast sandwich. North west Arkansas needs them back.

Burger King tried their hand at the Bagel Sandwich this past fall with three variations. And like McDonald’s, they offered them only for a limited time.
There probably wouldn’t be much debate on who has the better Breakfast Bagel Sandwiches, since McDonald’s not only has the history, but the fanbase already in place.
For now, the nation waits to see if the return of the bagel will be enjoyed by all, and how many will feel it in the…waistline.
