Imagine coming into the world only to be taken out of it because you couldn’t resist eating someone else’s burger. And not even a top-notch burger at that, a bottom-of-the barrel KFC ZInger burger?

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened here. And this was no feast, famine, or downed plane on the side of the mountain.

In Karachi, Pakistan, a teenager is in jail pending trial after an investigation into a crime that found his friend murdered by his own hand for eating half of a Zinger Burger.

17-year-old Daniyal Mir Bahar invited his friend Ali Keerio over to his house. Prior to the invite, Daniyal had ordered two ZInger burgers from KFC, one for himself and one for his girlfriend, who was set to join the boys shortly thereafter.

The doomed young teen couldn’t contain himself and likely thought the downing of his friend’s girlfriend’s burger was innocent enough. For the boyfriend? The act was a form of treason that sent him into a blind rage.

Keerio’s attention was captured by the Zinger on the counter, and he ate about half of the burger. According to the report, when friend Daniyal noticed what he had done, he took a guard’s rifle and aimed it at Keerio, firing the weapon multiple times.

The investigating officer said: “Daniyal got into a serious fight with Ali over why he ate half of the burger without permission which was ordered for his girlfriend Shazia.”

Daniyal is the son of retired Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Nazir Ahmed Mirbahar and Ali, the son of a sessions Judge.

Keerio later passed away at the hospital, where he was receiving treatment for his wounds. ARY News reported that Daniyal is currently awaiting trial in a court of law.

The next time you’re rummaging in the fridge or spying on your roommate’s, cousin’s, sister’s, or friend’s yet-to-be eaten food thing, remember the tale of the lad who couldn’t resist the gaze of a tasty burger. And how he paid dearly for it.
