Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is shaking up the scene again with the debut of their Golden BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Launched on May 7th, Popeye’s says this new sandwich promises to take your midday meal from boring to “magnificent”.[QSR Magazine].
This latest addition to the chicken sandwich menu will be available nationwide and comes in four varieties for a customizable experience.
Golden BBQ Chicken Sandwich
The Golden BBQ Chicken Sandwich features the Popeyes signature buttermilk-battered, all-white meat chicken breast. The twist comes with a brand new sweet and tangy Golden BBQ sauce slathered on the crispy chicken [Restaurant Business Online].

The sandwiches start at $4.99 and the varieties include:
Crispy Golden BBQ Chicken Sandwich: Featuring the new BBQ honey mustard sauce, a buttermilk battered all-white meat chicken fillet served with pickles on a brioche bun.
Crispy Golden BBQ Chicken Sandwich with Bacon & Cheese: The buttermilk battered all-white meat chicken fillet sandwich gains the addition of Havarti cheese and three half slices of hickory smoked bacon.
Blackened Golden BBQ Sandwich: Featuring a blackened chicken breast with BBQ honey Mustard with pickles and served on a brioche bun.
Golden BBQ Bacon & Cheese Blackened Chicken Sandwich: Say that one ten times fast. This version is basically the same as the above sandwich with the addition of a fried, blacked chicken fillet and Havarti cheese and bacon.
To celebrate the launch and promote lunchtime enjoyment, Popeyes is launching the “Lunch Money FUNds” promotion. This campaign includes dropping “lunch money” into customer rewards accounts for a free chicken sandwich, and a collaboration with a New Orleans hip-hop duo, SaxKixAve, to create a “Bring Back Lunch” anthem.
