Controversial Youtuber and MrBeast Burger founder, is getting dragged after he posted a video on TikTok that shows him at a restaurant giving the waitress keys to…a car waiting outside in the parking lot.
The video has over 50 million views as of this moment but the comment section of the TikTok video, tells another tale. Many weren’t impressed with Mr Beast’s gesture of goodwill and didn’t miss the blatant self-promotion being sold under the guise of a ‘charitable act’.
The video opens up on MrBeast asking his waitress, Amy, what the biggest tip she ever received was. The camera films her reaction as she awkwardly replies, “like $50?”
“Has anyone ever tipped you a car?” MrBeasts then asks.
Are you serious? Is this even real? Amy asks getting visibly emotional.
As MrBeast leads her outside into the parking lot to see his magnanimous tip, she exclaims that she was late to work that day because the Uber was slow.
The brand new Toyota is emblazoned with two of Mr Beasts logos – one for his line of chocolates called Feastables and the other, the name of his Youtube channel – smack dab on the front center of the car’s hood.
Amy sits in the car, with the new car smell wafting from every angle and she remarks that she doesn’t know how to drive. The question lingers if she even has her license.
The comments are rife with disdain for MrBeasts intentions and self-promotion.
“Ur insurance and taxes are ’bout to be wild”
“I’d rather be caught riding around in a trashcan than that”
“MrBeast you can do better than that. Why wrap it like that? I’ve seen you give away plenty non-branded stuff”
MrBeast has yet another Youtube channel, BeastPhilanthrophy where he showcases all of his good deeds like saving babies, baking cakes, and…ehh, he’s actually doing things like; rebuilding houses, and operating a food pantry with a mobile “distribution network” capability, and giving school supplies to “poor schools”.
The video ends with MrBeast telling Amy to, “enjoy the car.”
He couldn’t help but leave another shameless plug further down in the comment section of the video, “If more people bought Feastables…I could give away more cars on social media.”
