The wait is almost over – the Cheez-It Crunch wrap which debuted at the Live Mas Live event in Las Vegas is reportedly launching to menus nationwide very soon.
Taco Bell first introduced this behemoth of a tostada in 2022, featuring a giant, 16 times the size of a standard Cheez-It cracker as the base. Topped with classic Taco Bell ingredients like seasoned beef, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese, it became a fan favorite during its limited test run.
Following positive response in limited testing markets, Taco Bell announced the official return of the Big Cheez-It Tostada at their recent Live Más event. While an exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet, sources suggest it’ll be arriving just in time for summer, bringing a cheesy crunch to taste buds everywhere.
And it will be available in several varieties on the menu, not just as part of a new Crunchwrap. You can order the giant Cheez-It by itself or as the base for a Tostada (the Big Cheez-It Tostada and the Big Cheez-It Supreme).
Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Chief Food Innovation Officer: “There are few things that everyone can agree on…but the iconic flavors from Taco Bell menu items and Cheez-It snacks appeal to all. We’re thrilled about this new concept with Cheez-It, which gives our fans the chance to experience the real cheese and crunch they love from both of our brands in a whole new way.”
In regards to questions about the price, according to an announcement on Taco Bell’s website in 2022, they had the Cheez-It Crunchwrap priced at $4.29 and the Cheez-It Tostada at $2.49. Most likely, these prices will be subject to change.
