Subway is appealing to the sweet junky in all of us by adding a show stopping footlong cookie to the menu.
The ginormous 12-inch cookies are set to come out in early 2024, and can be had in chocolate chip cookie form as well as possibly other varieties but there’s no confirmation on that as of yet.
Paul Fabre, senior vice president of culinary and innovation at Subway said in a statement on the Footlong Cookies:
“The overwhelming response we received from fans around the country last year let us know that we needed to make the footlong cookie a permanent addition to our menu.”
Subway released the footlong cookies one other time, in 2022 but only at a pop up location in Miami, Florida for a limited time only event.
On National Cookie Day, December 4th…Chicago, Dallas, Miami and New York City locations are giving away free (yes, you read that right) 12-inch cookies with every purchase of a footlong sub ahead of the nationwide drop.
Subway has historically engaged in some crazy promotions to engage customers, and create interest in their new menu additions. Over the summer they had a sandwich blimp giving rides to customers while serving sandwiches, and another promotion was a contest with the winner to get free Subway Sandwiches for life if they legally changed their name to “Subway”.
This might just be their best creation yet…a huge cookie in the shape of a sub? Oh yes, we’ll be partaking.
