Three fast food chains in St. Paul, MN were targeted and robbed at gun-point in what appears to be three coordinated, and nearly simultaneous robberies.
The true to life event, indeed sounds like it could have been ripped right from the tag-line of a stoner-comedy heist movie:
“A couple of stoned burn-outs need fast money to pay back their dealer so they plot to rob multiple fast food chains, and pull it off in less than an hour”.
The sequence of events happened this past Friday between 7:15pm and 8:00pm with the multiple chains that were hit, all located within the same town, and each with nearly identical MO’s.
The armed robbers were somehow able to get all of the jobs done quickly, covering each restaurant in less than an hour…spanning Wendy’s, Subway, and McDonald’s.
Two out of the three robberies occurred in the drive-thru, with one car pulling up and holding a gun on the employees at the window, and the other taking place inside the restaurant at gunpoint.
As per the police report, a ‘group’ entered Subway around 7:30 and trained a gun on the cashier.
It didn’t mention how many people were within the group. And noted that it wasn’t confirmed that all three robberies were connected.
No injuries were reported, and there was no mention of how much money they made off with.
At this time not much information is available besides the bare bone facts.
Police still need to review security footage to see if they can glean any information on their vehicles, and if they have video of the suspects.
