An employee at a Wendy’s in Ohio, was shocked when an irate customer proclaiming to be a nurse spat at her from the drive-thru window according to wkbn.com.
Lunch rush was in full swing and the cars were piling up with hungry drivers and delivery orders set for pick-up.
One of the customers on the line was beyond the point of impatient and gearing up to make his presence known.
He tried to place an order through the intercom speaker but the employee manning it, asked the customer to “hold on” while she finished with another person’s order. She then took off her head-set to speak with other employees.
The man wasn’t having any of this and simply drove up to the window and tried to place his order there.
The Wendy’s worker explained that there were other orders ahead of him and that he would need to get back in line.
The angry man was nearing his breaking point and pulled out a card of entitlement. He said, “I am a f****** nurse.” And proceeded to explain that he was on his break and didn’t have time for such things as “lines”.
Naturally the Wendy’s employee again repeated that he would have to get back in line and wait to place his order.
And the tide definitely turned in the impatient nurse’s mind. His disbelief, anger, or whatever it is that compels a person to commit such a vulgar act, elicited him to spit at the worker through the drive-thru window.
With his ‘spitting’ act at a close – he drove off, from whence he came and left the worker there reeling from the encounter.
The police report says that Wendy’s is seeking to review the surveillance footage to try and find out the spitting man’s identity.
No witnesses to the act came forward to assist with the investigation.
The ‘case of the angry spitting nurse’ remains open until further notice.
