A customer at Taco Bell recently fell ill after an altercation over a non-working soda machine.

An investigation into the incident found a substance in the Taco Bell burrito. Lab tests confirmed that it was indeed rat poison in his burrito but that there was no evidence of foul play. (Fox News 8)

The customer had been through the Taco Bell drive-thru last week and placed an order for soft tacos and a soda.

When he was told that the soda machine was out of order, the unidentified man grew angered and demanded a burrito in place of the drink instead.

An argument transpired between the man and staff when they informed him that they were unable to substitute a burrito in place of the drink.

At some point, employees grew tired of the heated exchange and consented, handing over a burrito.

Police were eventually called to the scene over the disturbance but no one was charged.

However, that was not to be the end of it.

Later that same day, the man involved in the altercation wound up in the hospital.

ABC 9 Reports on the rat poisoned burrito

Police received a report and followed it up at the hospital where the ailing man said that…he had eaten food with rat poison in it.

He reportedly took a bite of the burrito that he acquired from Taco Bell earlier that day and felt an immediate burning sensation.

Upon inspection of the burrito, he saw a “greenish-gray substance“.

He called 911, and was taken to a local hospital where officers were called to take his statement.

He raised his suspicions that the employees at Taco Bell had laced his burrito with rat poison.

The officers retrieved the partially eaten Taco Bell from his home with consent, and investigators tested the burrito at a lab to identify the mysterious substance.

Consequently, the Taco Bell location in Arapahoe County was closed for the interim, with staff cooperating throughout the ordeal, and turning over video surveillance from inside the establishment.

No sign of foul play could be ascertained from the footage that investigators combed over.

Strangely enough, attempts to contact the Taco Bell customer resulted in a dead-end.

He could not be reached by phone nor at his home.

Events surrounding the debacle seem suspect, and investigators are at an impasse needing to account for how the rat poison came to be in the man’s burrito.

The Sheriff’s office released a statement: “Although there is no evidence that the employees at Taco Bell put the rat poison in the food, investigators cannot account for how it got in the food. “

The statement continued with a plea to the customer…”If the customer has any information that can help with the investigation into how the poison could have gotten into the food, we request he contact the sheriff’s office.

Some people commented on Youtube and alluded to a further twist in the story:

“Man has 60 other lawsuits all against restaurants… he should be forced fed rat poison as a punishment for being a chronic liar.”

That man poison himself the end

Being that the man “poisoned” in this Taco Bell fiasco has appeared to disappear from further questioning, there may be weight to the speculation.

Will this be the last of the charade or will another chapter unravel in the coming days?
