Is the day coming in which you will be able to order a cheeseburger from Chik-fil-A? Why are TikTok users suddenly sharing reviews of a Chik-fil-A cheeseburger?
The answer to the first question is “Sort of, but not how you might expect or hope.” The answer to the second question becomes clear when we address the first one. To put it another way, don’t expect a triple with cheese from the chicken sandwich giant anytime soon, but there’s also a little more to it than that.
The Return of Little Blue Menu
Chik-fil-A has spent its existence dealing in chicken sandwiches and similar offerings. The company first opened its doors in 1946 but achieved national popularity beginning in the latter half of the 20th century. Today there are more than 2600 locations across the United States.
The name itself is instantly recognizable and tells you in no uncertain terms what you can expect from the menu. Their chicken sandwiches are some of the most popular among all fast-food companies, and that seems unlikely to change anytime soon.
Yet thanks to Little Blue Menu, a virtual ordering system for online deliveries, you can technically combine your favorite Chik-fil-A items with a nice cheeseburger. Introduced a little over a year ago,and named for the original Chik-fil-A restaurant, Little Blue Menu includes Outfox Wings, Garden Day, Because Burger, Flock & Farm, and of course, Chik-fil-A. The virtual kitchen allows users to order food from the range of restaurants both real (Chik-fil-A) and online-only (Because Burger and Flock &Farm being two examples)
The ability to mix and match items from this virtual menu is where the confusion begins for some. It’s also true that if you order a burger, it will come packaged in Chik-fil-A packaging. This had led to some believing you can in fact order burgers from Chik-fil-A.
Unfortunately, that is just not the case, and no one should expect burgers to show up on the regular Chik-fil-A menu anytime soon.
Will Chik-fil-A Ever Add Burgers to Their Menu?
Two things to keep in mind with Chik-fil-A and burgers:
- Unless you head to one of the Chik-fil-A Dwarf House locations, don’t expect to find burgers on the menu at standard restaurants anytime soon.
- As it stands, the Little Blue Menu is only available in Nashville TN and College Park MD. We can only hope the service expands to other locations as time goes on.
For now, it seems that getting a burger with your Chik-fil-A favorites will be offered only virtually and at a limited number of locations. You can at least hope Little Blue Menu expands to your neck of the woods, but who knows when that might be. Those who want a cheeseburger and some Chik-fil-A waffle fries are going to need to make two trips to two distinct restaurants.
