Chick-fil-A is bringing the smoky sweetness of summer to taste buds across the country with the nationwide launch of their new Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich. The limited-time offer, is available starting June 10th, 2024, following a successful testing period in select markets.
This unique sandwich is the second new sandwich being added to the menu in ten years. The first one, the Honey Pimento Chicken Sandwich dropped last summer to fans looking for a new option at the chicken-based chain.
What Is The Maple Pepper Bacon?
The Maple Pepper Bacon features a twist on Chick-fil-A’s signature chicken. The boneless breast of chicken is marinated in lemon herb and grilled to deliver a juicy, smoky flavor reminiscent of backyard barbecues. The star of the show, is the interplay of sweet and savory. The chicken sits on a toasted maple-flavored brioche bun and is topped with melty pepper jack cheese, crisp green leaf lettuce, and a key element – brown sugar and pepper bacon. The sandwich is finished off with sweet and spicy pickle chips for a delightful textural and taste bud contrast.
Testing and Tweaking for National Appeal
The Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich wasn’t unveiled nationwide overnight. Chick-fil-A, first tested the sandwich in 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana and Lexington, Kentucky. The pilot program allowed them to gather feedback and refine the recipe before offering it to the entire nation.
The Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich isn’t the only summer treat Chick-fil-A is offering. Alongside the sandwich, the popular Peach Milkshake is making its 15th annual return, providing a perfectly sweet companion to the smoky and savory sandwich.
Allison Duncan, Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, stated, “We are always looking for ways to make unique twists to our entrée selection and the Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich is a delicious spin on the Chick-fil-A flavors our Guests know and love…We have several new and exciting offerings in the pipeline and look forward to continuing to surprise our Guests with bold, new tastes in the future!”
