Two menu items are making a comeback for a limited time this August. The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and the Banana Pudding Milkshake will be gracing Chick-fil-A locations across the country, bringing back the sweet and savory element for fans.
The news was teased by Instagram account Markie Devos (food blogger) on July 2nd.
The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich takes Chick-fil-A’s signature chicken filet to a new level. Imagine a juicy, crispy chicken breast drizzled with a touch of honey for a hint of sweetness. Then comes the star of the show: creamy, tangy pimento cheese, a Southern staple that adds a burst of flavor. And the sandwich is finished off with mild pickled jalapeños, offering crunch and a subtle kick.
Last year, Chick-Fil-A launched the new chicken sandwich in August after a 10-year absence of new sandwich options. It was only available for a limited-time but customers loved the new spin.
The Honey Pimento’s return is doubly surprising because Chick-Fil-A’s just announced another brand-new sandwich this past June, the Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich. This is kind of out of character for the chain but we’re not complaining.
Remember those simpler times when milkshakes were hand-spun and bursting with flavor? Chick-fil-A’s Banana Pudding Milkshake is bringing that experience back. This concoction blends Chick-fil-A’s signature Icedream dessert with real bananas and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles. The creamy texture is pure indulgence, and the fruit and cookie bits add a textural contrast. Topped with whipped cream and a cherry, it’s a milkshake fit for a hot summer day).
As recently as May, news broke that Banana Pudding “treats” were testing in SC. The consensus was they likely wouldn’t go nationwide and stay as a regional offering, but here we are. One of the test items was an actual banana pudding dessert which we were hoping would be the chosen one…but a Banana Pudding Milkshake is the next best thing.
