The CurderBurger first existed only as an April Fool’s joke in 2021 but saw a popular public demand for the joke burger. This time the CurderBurger was welcomed back on October 12th after a year long menu hiatus.
Once again, it has started to sell out in multiple locations according to Fox 6 Now.
The cholesterol bomb is a deluxe butter burger topped with a cheese curd patty (really just gooey fried cheese entombed by crispy breadcrumbs).
The backstory with the CurderBurger is that it made headlines last year when it was introduced as a mere April Fool’s joke and available for just one day.
But the people weren’t having it…or rather, they wanted it.
Patrons lined up from the early morn to grab the cheese curd enhanced burger.
It led to a record single day of sales with the burger accounting for 20% of sales across Culver’s locations for a total of- 136,000 CurderBurger’s.
According to Culver’s website, many locations sold-out of the burger within two hours .
And so the CurderBurger was indeed born from the nebulous depths of a cheese curd need that nobody knew they wanted.
Demand quickly outpaced supplies and the gooey cheesy butter burger had to pulled from the menu.
Doggonit it’s happening again. Culver’s is releasing the burger once more for a limited time from October 12th to the 31st.
Culver’s reported the news on the 21st, stating that fans were lining up and the burgers were selling left, right, and center.
Already the cheese curd specialty is making a splash and the people are losing their will to stay away.
At this pace – the limited-run burger won’t even be able to last for the three weeks that it’s supposed to be available.
Who knew that a cheese curd featured burger would become such a success that it would be clamored for? CurderBurger…the new burger addiction.
