Central Perk lovers, Krispy Kreme has launched a limited-edition line of donuts inspired by the iconic sitcom “Friends.” But before you race to your nearest location, there’s a bit of a catch: these tasty treats are only available in the UK and Ireland.
And fans in the US couldn’t be more disappointed by the decision.
The donut chain is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Friends with flavors that pay homage to the show’s beloved characters and moments. According to Krispy Kreme’s announcement, each donut is a tribute to a fan favorite, but details about the specific flavors remain under wraps.

Friend’s Donut Flavors
- “Friends,” a glazed doughnut with chocolate icing, sprinkles and a white chocolate logo from the television show.
- “We were on a Coffee Break,” a glazed doughnut with “café latte flavor icing, chocolate swirl, frosting and a white choc topper” with a “Central Perk” logo.
- “How You Doin’?,” which has purple icing with mango and passionfruit frosting made to look like Monica Geller’s door.
- “Trifle,” a “strawberry and custard-filled doughnut, topped with chocolate curls and green sprinkles.”
This exclusive release has left American fans feeling left out and wondering why the UK and Ireland were chosen for this sweet collaboration. Some speculate that Friends enjoys a particularly strong fanbase across the pond, while others point out Krispy Kreme has offered limited-edition flavors in specific regions before.
One person commented: “This is where I am just confused by the decision-making process. Friends was a huge U.S. show (I know it is big internationally as well, but come on), yet this is a UK thing.”
Fox Business reached out to Krispy Kreme and asked if they had plans to release the donuts in the US. They responded with: “we have nothing additional to share at this time.”
For now, fans in the UK and Ireland, get to reminisce about everyone’s favorite group of friends while eating donuts commemorating the show. In the meantime, US customers can console themselves with Krispy Kreme’s “standard” donuts or hope the nostalgia train eventually reaches their shores.
