The 90’s Nickelodeon cult favorite, Good Burger is having a second wind, that will bring the original characters and cast back for more hijinks, in the sequel Good Burger 2.

On November 22nd, Good Burger 2 will be dropping on streaming service Paramount+ and the trailer just hit offering a sneak peak on what’s in store.

The sequel follows the reprisal of Dexter and Ed played by Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. The two engaged in shenanigans as a best friend team during the original movie while employed at the fast food chain…Good Burger.

This time Dexter, who has moved on from Good Burger, returns to the restaurant to ask Ed for his old position at Good Burger. Meanwhile, corporate develops a plot to expand the chain worldwide to become Mega Good Burger…while firing employees to automate their jobs by replacing them with robots to cut down on costs. Sound eerily familiar?

Think Wendy’s underground tunneling robots, Chipotle and the guacamole-making robot, and then there’s the AI being used by fast food chains to do tasks like taking orders…which many have already implemented in some form or another including, Panera, McDonald’s, and White Castle.

Also appearing in Good Burger 2 are; Carmen Electra, Lori Beth Denberg, Josh Server, Nicole Byer, Mark Cuban, Matt Friend, Rob Gronkowski, and Flula Borg.

Good Burger which came out in 1997, was based on a sketch from the Nickelodeon sketch show “All That”. The duo fought off up-and-coming fast food chain, Mondo Burger with a secret sauce they ended up using as a weapon. At one point the pair are committed to an asylum by the manager of the competition to keep them from exposing Mondo Burgers dirty secret.

Can Good Burger 2 top the success of the original? And is it a cautionary tale against robots just a hilarious comedy set to the backdrop of a fictitious fast food chain?

Guess we’ll find out!
