Information on a rumored new Wendy’s item appears to have been leaked on Wendys subreddit by an employee tentatively calling the new dish “Saucy Nuggets”.
The presumed Wendy’s employee posted an image of four containers of sauce with labels on each, reading; Garlic Parmesan, Honey BBQ, Buffalo, and Ghost Pepper.
The leaker said:
“A new product called saucey nuggets will be using this sauce as well as honey bbq sauce it’s just nuggets drizzled with sauce. Heard thru rumors that ghost pepper sauce will be used to mix with nuggets. Not sure. But we were told to keep ordering n not to discard.”
Connecting the dots leads one to come to the conclusion that there will be a sort of chicken nugget possibly glazed or coated in one of four sauces. The other option is that these chicken nuggets would be seasoned, and served with the corresponding sauce flavor.
Wendy’s came out with the Ghost Pepper Ranch Sauce in 2021 to pair along with their Spicy Chicken Nuggets. Perhaps it will be brought back for the new nuggets in the pipeline…
Taco Bell is another fast food chain getting in on the chicken nugget game. They announced in October that they would start testing Chicken Nuggets in a limited market in Minneapolis. They’re aiming to corner the nugget market by offering a premium version, implementing all-white meat chicken, and seasoning them using a coating of jalapeno buttermilk batter.
