McDonald’s has hit a homerun in both the UK and Ireland with the limited edition Steakhouse Stack Burger. Customers have been raving about the new burger that was announced at the end of March and made it’s arrival onto the menu in April. The Steakhouse burger has been making news, being touted by patrons as their “best burger ever.”
The franchise went a little fancy-shmancy with this one – with a name that is very Un-McDonalds-like and a run-down of ingredients that (a creamy peppercorn sauce base) suggests the Steakhouse Stack is more so an offering at a restaurant rather than something served up at a McDonald’s drive-thru.
The burger contains two 100% beef burger patties, cheddar cheese, lettuce, crispy onions, and a creamy peppercorn sauce.
Many have taken to social media to profess their approval of the new burger.
Of course, for every fan of the Steakhouse there’s another unimpressed patron deriding it. Common complaints of the Steakhouse state that it’s not worth the higher cost (about $6.70 in USD) and that the presentation of the burger was disappointingly shoddy, not living up to the promotional pictures or hype.
For those of you intrigued and not residing in the UK or Ireland, unfortunately, it’s looking like you wont be able to try the Steakhouse Stack anytime soon…unless you make the trip across the pond. McDonald’s has no current plans in the pipe-line to bring the Steakhouse to the states, or elsewhere for that matter.
