McDonald’s is once again bringing back its elusive McRib sandwich on December 3rd nationwide. This isn’t just any ordinary return, though. To satisfy the cravings of die-hard fans, the fast-food chain is also offering a half-gallon jug of McRib sauce for $19.99.
This announcement comes after we’d just about given up on a nationwide return as the last we heard only select markets would be getting the McRib back on the menu. Specifically, Topeka, Kansas, Springfield, Illinois and the Greater Ozarks were confirmed for a launch date the week of November 25th.
This time around, the McRib also has a holiday-themed commercial to announce its comeback.
And that’s not all. For the first time ever, McDonald’s will be making the McRib sauce available for purchase as a half gallon jug of saucy goodness called, “A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce”. Fans can order the sauce starting November 25th at 10 a.m. EST, while supplies last.
This is quite the news if you’re a McRib fanatic.
If you’re new to the McRib game, it first appeared on McDonald’s menus in 1981. Its boneless pork patty, shaped like a pork rib, is marinated in a tangy barbecue sauce and served on a hoagie roll with pickles.
