McDonald’s fans in the United Kingdom are gearing up for a tasty treat as the legendary McRib makes its highly anticipated return to menus overseas. There’s also confirmation of several markets in the US that have a set November release date.
The McRib just launched in the UK earlier this week after having been absent from the menu since 2016. McDonald’s teased its return, with an “accidental” text sent to app users last month sending fans into an investigative frenzy.
It was likely a marketing ploy to get people talking and on the lookout.
The sandwich is so popular that its dedicated following has fans tracking its availability on websites and social media.

US Fans Patiently Await McRib’s Return
Now, across the Atlantic, US fans of the McRib are also eagerly awaiting news of its return. Its seasonal availability usually sees a November roll-out every year and there’s no reason to believe this will be any different.
We do have word that McDonald’s announced the McRib will be making a comeback in specific regions of the United States starting the week of November 25th.
Fans in Topeka, Kansas, Springfield, Illinois or the Greater Ozarks will be among the first to enjoy the classic sandwich. In fact, they’re reporting that it will be available until January.
The question now is if they’re playing coy, announcing more participating markets as we get closer to the date…or if this will be a limited market release.
As the launch date approaches, McDonald’s is expected to release more details about the nationwide rollout. Fans can stay updated by following the fast-food giant’s social media channels, checking their local McDonald’s website for announcements, or right here and on our Facebook page!
