The legendary pro football player, Deion Sanders and his five children have joined forces with KFC for a family-themed promotion of new menu items like Kentucky Fried Nuggets, as well as starring in commercials for the franchise.
The announcement was made via press release which also premiered the first commercial ad with Sanders and his family.
Deion, now known as Coach Prime-Time (Prime for short) to his students at the University of Boulder Colorado where Sanders serves as head football coach – says that KFC has been a staple in his family for years and he’s excited to bring his whole family (including his mom) on board to create a unique family-themed partnership with the famous chicken-based franchise.
“KFC has been a lunch and dinnertime go-to for the Sanders family since I was a kid, and my kids loved this tradition as well,” said Sanders. “Game days, family and a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken have always brought us memorable moments, so this partnership is a real family affair. It’s Prime Time, baby!”
His five children, Deiondra, Deion Jr., Shilo, Shedeur and Shelomi – appear in the ad alongside Deion, piloting a KFC emblazoned golf cart, and steering them toward a date with KFC and the chain’s, memorable, delicious offerings.
In the second ad, the family engages in a feast of Kentucky Fried Nuggets and at the end of the clip, one of his daughters proclaims, “it’s primetime, baby.”
