KFC Japan has created the ultimate fried chicken to complement…alcoholic beverages like beer, and its called Ninniku Crispy Chicken. It’s launching now, and will be available for the duration of the season.
Unique to Japan, the chicken is made specifically to pair with alcohol by using flavorings that pair well with all kinds of alcohol. KFC Japan has been working on creating the recipe for a chicken that uses a lot of garlic, and pairs well with alcohol for a while now. And they say they’ve finally struck paydirt with the perfect concoction.
Ninniku translated to English means “garlic” which is the base of flavor for this new brand of fried chicken.
The fried chicken starts with the Colonels Crispy Chicken Recipe, and has a reported intense garlic taste to match the overbearing flavors of say, a gin. It’s made with extra garlic, soy sauce, a garlic-flavored oil sauce, and topped with sesame seeds.
A 3-piece order can be had for $4.07, and it can also be ordered on it’s own or in a Kanpai Barrel, or “Cheers Bucket”.
McDonald’s Japan unveiled two new dipping sauces last week, Lobster Butter Sauce, and Black Truffle Sauce. Also unique to only Japan locations, the new sauces are available for a limited time.
