Pizza Hut has introduced a new restaurant design concept and it’s pilot location in Plano, Texas. The new restaurant features a blend of digital and technological advancements aimed at enhancing the customer experience.

As fast food chains switch to providing guests with a faster service experience, multiple chains are experimenting with a no dining approach to streamline operations and now Pizza Hut is the latest to throw its hat into the ring.

Pizza Hut’s New Concept

Key features of Pizza Hut’s new concept include:

• Self-service kiosks: For faster order placement.

Open Kitchen: Guests will be able to oversee the making of the pizza.

• Contactless pick-up cabinets: For convenient order retrieval.

• Guest-facing pizza making station: Showcasing the quality and care that goes into every pizza.

• Drive-thru with Hut ‘N Go menu: Offering a select list of “ready-now” items for quick pick-up.

Meanwhile, KFC, is also testing a new restaurant concept with the launch of a spin-off restaurant called “Saucy” in Orlando, Florida. Saucy will focus on chicken tenders, beverages and dipping sauces.

McDonald’s also announced a no-dining room, on-the-go concept in Los Angeles. The prototype will have many of the same features as Pizza Hut’s new concept.

Industry-Wide Trend

Pizza Hut, McDonald’s and KFC’s initiatives demonstrate a broader trend within the restaurant industry. As consumer behavior shifts towards digital ordering and delivery, restaurant chains are actively seeking innovative ways to adapt and remain competitive.

These new concepts, with their focus on technology and convenience, are likely to play a big role in shaping the future of the restaurant landscape.
