KFC is set to launch a new concept focused entirely on chicken tenders, aptly named “Saucy.” This move signifies a strategic expansion for the brand, capitalizing on the growing popularity of chicken tenders as a fast-food staple.
The concept will launch on December 20th in Orlando, Fl and will include 11 sauces to choose from:
- Chimichurri Ranch
- Peri Peri Ranch
- Jalapeño Pesto Ranch
- Smokey Bacon Ranch
- Thai Sweet ‘N Spicy
- Sweet ‘N Saucy BBQ
- Saucy’s Sauce
- Spicy Mango Chutney
- Saucy Ranch
- Creole Honey Mustard
- Sweet Teriyaki
Saucy, a “flavor-forward dining destination,” will feature a variety of hand-breaded chicken tenders, cooked fresh to order and paired with an impressive selection of 11 signature sauces.
This extensive sauce lineup is a nod to KFC’s famous Original Recipe, which is famously seasoned with 11 herbs and spices.
There’s over 4,000 possible order combinations.
Saucy will also offer customers a customizable dining experience.
- Sauce Selection: Choose individual sauces or a “flight” of four, perfect for dipping.
- Tender Options: Enjoy hand-breaded, made-to-order chicken tenders fried in small batches for maximum freshness.
- Sides: Pair your meal with toasted Hawaiian rolls, crispy fries, or coleslaw.
- Signature Sandwiches: Indulge in the EZ Crispy Sandwich or the Spicy Queso Crunch Sandwich.
- Value Combos: Take advantage of deals like the $7.99 three-piece tender combo with a roll, fries, drink, and your choice of sauce.
- Sweet Treats: Finish your meal with a decadent chocolate mousse cake or refreshing Key lime cake.
This version is more concise and highlights the key features of the Saucy menu and dining experience.

KFC’s chief new concept officer, Christophe Poirier said on the Saucy concept:
“Everyone is obsessed with sauce – more is more. With Saucy, we’ve taken KFC’s famous Original Recipe and amplified it with a brand-new concept that lets consumers play with flavor.”
The new concept will offer customers the flexibility to customize their orders, allowing them to choose their preferred tenders and sauces. Whether you’re a fan of classic flavors or adventurous taste combinations, Saucy promises to deliver a satisfying and customizable dining experience.
The first Saucy location is scheduled to open in Orlando, Florida, later this month and KFC plans to closely monitor the performance of this initial location before deciding on further expansion plans.
This seems to be a spin-off from KFC’s Saucy Nuggets item that launched last Spring. They had a choice of five flavors to choose from.
This will be the first time since Kentucky Fried Beef, (a shortlived restaurant focusing on roast beef) that KFC has dipped into another lane. Taco Bell also just announced Live Más Café, a beverage-focused restaurant in San Diego, Calif.
Stay tuned for more updates on the launch of Saucy and its potential to become a game-changer in the fast-food industry.
