McDonald’s is trying something new when it comes to their chicken sandwiches. They’re adding a little something to the name. A… ‘Mc’ to be precise. The chicken sandwich will forevermore and officially be known as the ‘McCrispy’.
The ‘Crispy Chicken Sandwich’ was first introduced in 2021 and has been on and off the menu ever since. McDonald’s McCrispy can be enjoyed in it’s original form which consists of the standard fare of a fried chicken cutlet, lettuce, pickles and a toasted potato roll. A Spicy McCrispy sees the addition of Spicy Pepper sauce.
“Earning your ‘Mc’ is a true McDonald’s badge of honor,” the McDonald’s news release had to say.
The franchise will also be celebrating the new name by adding two chicken sandwich options to the line-up.
The Bacon Ranch and Bacon Ranch Deluxe will be rolling out starting March 13th, and they won’t be permanent fixtures, just a limited time offering.
“Both sandwiches feature our signature chicken fillet topped with applewood smoked bacon plus a creamy new Ranch Sauce – made with buttermilk, dried herbs and spices – and served on a toasted potato roll,” a news release said.

The Bacon Ranch Deluxe will include everything the Bacon Ranch has, but it will contain lettuce and tomatoes additionally.
Several Twitter posters pointed out that the name, McCrispy should have been employed from the start including this user who posted pictures of the new chicken sandwich options looking slightly disheveled.
Also announced to be hitting the menu – is a new lemonade made with real cane sugar and real lemon juice. This creation, however, is not to be called the McLemonade, unfortunately.
