There must be something in the air at McDonalds that attracts disgruntled customers bearing axes.

This is not the first time in the past few months that a customer has fallen back on brandishing the fearsome cutting “tool” when faced with a tribulation at a McD’s.

In the latest drive-thru drama – a Webster, NH man got worked up enough to spit on an employee at the window because they refused to serve him for causing a scene. (Courtesy of: WMUR).

The police were called over the dispute but by the time they arrived, the man, who was later identified as Eric Mayville, had already left the scene.

Mayville then did what any sensible patron would do, he came back over three hours later with McDonalds still fresh on his mind at 1am.

Once more he drove his way to the drive-thru, only this time, he was told by an employee that they were closed.

Mayville didn’t leave but instead drove around to the front of the restaurant.

When the employees went outside to go home for the night, they were met with Mayville in his car, still waiting.

He proceeded to get out of his car with an ax in hand, and reportedly threatened the McDonalds staff with it. Once his ax-waving duties were fulfilled, he was on his way.

This time Mayville was picked up by police a short while later and he was taken into custody.

He was charged with “criminal threatening and assault”.
