McDonald’s Canada is serving up a symphony of flavors with their all-new Remix Menu, available for a limited time-only. The menu is Inspired by concoctions dreamed up by fans, resulting in four culinary mashups to be featured on the menu for the first time.
Menu hacks have long been a way for savvy customers to combine various elements when ordering to get one super duper creation that doesn’t exist anywhere on the regular menu. Some tried and true hacks include:
- McGangBang, the merging of the McDouble and the McChicken to make one sandwich
- Chicken Cordon Bleu McMuffin: A Sausage McMuffin with a hash brown folded in and cheese added. Order with the addition of a chicken patty. It creates a breakfast sandwich with a crispy, salty element.
- “Denali” or “Bigger Mac“: This substitutes the regular patties for Quarter Pounder patties for a heftier burger.
- McDouble Hack: This hack turns a McDouble into a cheaper Big Mac. Order a McDouble without ketchup or mustard, and then ask for Big Mac sauce added. You’ll get a similar taste for a fraction of the price.
Remixed Classics
The new Remix Menu puts a spin on some of McDonald’s most popular items. The new creations coming to the menu include:
- The Chicken Cheeseburger: This mashup merges the crispy, juicy chicken patty from the McChicken with a classic beef patty, all nestled in a toasty bun with melty cheese and the usual fixings.
- Surf ‘N Turf Burger: Calling all seafood and beef lovers! This over-the-top burger combines two all-beef patties with a crispy Filet-O-Fish patty, creating a textural and taste bud explosion.
- Sweet Chili Junior Chicken: This fiery twist on the Junior Chicken features a crispy chicken patty glazed with a tangy sweet chili sauce, balanced out by cool mayo and crisp lettuce.
- Apple Pie McFlurry: For a sweet ending, the Remix Menu offers the Apple Pie McFlurry. This dessert combines McDonald’s signature vanilla soft serve with chunks of their iconic apple pie and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
This will be the first time that McDonald’s has taken customer hacks seriously. The Remix Menu takes these customizable orders and puts them on the official menu until April 29th.
Also on the roster for McDonald’s but this time in the US, the chain just confirmed the nationwide roll-out of Krispy Kreme’s at every location. The addition of the Krispy’s donuts will launch in phases before being available everywhere.
