MrBeast, the Youtube maven, founder of Mr Beast Burger, and serial entrepreneur revealed a text message on Sunday that showed he had been invited to go on the Titan submersible trip that was diving down to the Titanic. The tweet has exploded virally with many users suspicious over his intent behind the reveal.

He didn’t clarify if the invite was for the specific ill-fated trip of the Titan that was determined to have imploded on it’s voyage about one hour and forty- five minutes into it’s journey, was an invite for a successful trip or a “yet to have happened trip”.

Apparently, an unnamed person messaged him early on in June, extending an offer to MrBeast for a seat on the submersible. Some of the text is cut off but reads:

Also, I’m going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month. The team would be stoked to have you along. I’m sure you’re also welcome to join…

Mr Beast aka Jimmy Donaldson expressed in a tweet that he was lucky to turn down the offer to join the crew on a deep-dive.

He tweeted a picture of a portion of the text message that showed the invite and commented that it was “kind of scary that I could’ve been on it.”

Some eagle eyes didn’t believe his revelation and picked apart the text, asking why the “text” receipt was blue if it was a “recieved” message. And many still didn’t buy his explanation.

“wait why is the text reciept blue why are you making this up”

Mr Beast responded:

My friend sent me the screenshot of when he invited me. Didn’t think to scroll up and screenshot our old texts myself.

The tweet has been viewed over 91 million times with almost 600k likes but the majority of the comments are suspicious about the claim, and disgusted with Mr Beast’s propensity for attention:

if “HOW CAN I MAKE THIS ABOUT ME” were a person. it would be you

When Mr. Beast trolls all of Twitter with an engagement bait post”

“this is such a weird flex”

MrBeast also tweeted (since deleted) last week that he wanted “out” of Mr Beast Burgers to focus on his chocolate brand Feastables. Apparently the brand is getting flack over the virtual kitchen business model, and how restaurants like Applebee’s make the food advertised as coming from Mr Beast Burgers.
