Pizza Hut is taking a bite out of the late night crowd. The pizza chain will now be open later in many locations with some locations even staying open until 2 am.
A press release notes that thousands of Pizza Hut locations will be staying open until midnight or later. Some chains have a late-night menu that parses down selections after-hours but Pizza Hut will include the full menu to be available for either delivery or carry-out.
Pizza Hut is going toe-to-toe with their competitor, Domino’s who has already been meeting late-night demand with many stores remaining open until 12 am nationwide.
Chequan Lewis, Chief Operating Officer of Pizza Hut US said on the shake-up:
“We saw a clear need from our guests to satisfy their cravings for Pizza Hut late at night. So, we decided to meet them where they are by keeping our doors open longer.”
Late night fast food is a large market that many chains hope to conquer by catering to the late-night crowd with late-night menus. Wendy’s, and Taco Bell have historically done well with the college crowd after bars close, and professionals working late, needing meal options.
CFO, Chequan Lewis continued: “We’re excited to provide our full menu for delivery or carryout well into the late hours, making it more convenient than ever to enjoy Pizza Hut, no matter the time. It’s all about enhancing the dining experience and ensuring that our guests can savor their favorite flavors whenever they please.”
